CORNERSTONE THEATER COMPANY
Our work engages diverse communities throughout California and the nation to tell their real stories on stage. For 27 years the impact of our plays has been proven to motivate change, prompt new ways of thinking, create educators and advocates, and empower participants and audiences to take action around pressing social issues.

LUNCH LADY COURAGE
Our upcoming play, Lunch Lady Courage, investigates the school food system and looks at the world of students, “lunch ladies,” and administrators, to tell the real stories of people working to make schools and cafeterias a catalyst for healthy eating.

In the making of this play, we are partnering with Los Angeles High School of the Arts, Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools, Los Angeles Unified School District Schools and Board, Local 99 the Union of Education Workers, Policy Makers, Food Distributors, High ­Profile Chefs, Media and most importantly Students, who are involved in every level of the play making process.

OUR COMMUNITY
By connecting local organizations, individuals, corporations and the media through art­-making, Cornerstone is bringing the pressing issue of School Food to a widespread and all‐encompassing audience. Accessibility is a priority to Cornerstone. By supporting Lunch Lady Courage your company is making it possible for classrooms of students from across Los Angeles to see a play that speaks directly to their experiences.
