Cornerstone Board Member & Community Activist

Ceci is a current Board Member, a member of Cornerstone’s Community Advisory Committee and a vibrant community activist and leader in the Elysian Valley. Within her community, Ceci has been an advocate for greening and open space, involved in the development of Marsh Park and Jardin del Rio, and was awarded the 2005 Women of the Year for the 45th Assembly District by Rep. Jackie Goldberg. Ceci also performed in Cornerstone’s productions of 3 Truths and Touch the Water.

Former Cornerstone Board member & award-winning LA playwright

Tom Jacobson has had more than 70 productions in Los Angeles and around the country, including THE BELOVED DISCIPLE, CYBERQUEER, and DEGENERATE ART.  His adaptations SPERM at Circle X and THE ORANGE GROVE at Playwrights Arena were Critics Choice in the Los Angeles Times. He has been a co-literary manager of The Theatre @ Boston Court, a founding member of Playwrights Ink, artistic director of Ensemble Studio Theatre-LA, and a board member of Cornerstone Theater Company. He teaches playwriting and related courses for UCLA Extension. The Road Theatre Company’s 2008 THE FRIENDLY HOUR followed their 1998 production of TAINTED BLOOD (winner of seven Valley Theatre League Awards), their 2004 production of OUROBOROS (Garland Award for playwriting, LA Weekly Awards for playwriting and Production of the Year), and their 2005 production of BUNBURY, which was nominated for a GLAAD Award and an Ovation Award, and won several Valley Theatre League and Ticketholder Awards. Most recently, THE TWENTIETH-CENTURY WAY at The Theatre @ Boston Court garnered acclaim in both Pasadena and at the New York International Fringe Festival. THE CHINESE MASSACRE (ANNOTATED) at Circle X and the GLAAD-nominated HOUSE OF THE RISING SON at Ensemble Studio Theatre-LA premiered in April 2011.
