For our 25th season, we committed to re-engaging with former community collaborators, deepening our exploration and impact in Los Angeles. The communities of Pacoima, West Hollywood, and Watts, three communities that we had collaborated with in the past, set the stage for our dynamic 25th anniversary year.

A collaboration with Pacoima, a working class neighborhood in the northeast cornerstone of the city of Los Angeles. The cast of 54 included 43 local residents and 8 more community members worked backstage. Performed at Project Youth Green Community Garden.

Performed at Fiesta Hall in Plummer Park, West Hollywood, CA. This project celebrated the City of West Hollywood’s 25th Anniversary of city-hood. It followed the story of four friends who become pioneers of a generation by uniting ex-Soviet immigrants, GLBTQ activists, and senior citizens in establishing West Hollywood as the vibrant cultural, artistic, and political hub it is today.

Set in Watts, CA during Depression-era 1930s, this world premiere play was based on The Dybbuk, the classic 1914 play by S. Ansky. It followed the tale of Isela. betrothed to a man she doesn’t love while devoted to another. When Isela’s soul is possessed on the eve of her wedding, a Pandora’s box full of secrets, lies, betrayal, and hoodoo is opened.
