Make An Impact – Support Cornerstone Today

As members of our always growing Cornerstone family, you know that the work we do makes a huge difference in the lives of the people and the communities with whom we create unforgettable, life affirming theater.

We hope you will take this opportunity to support our work by donating to our annual fundraising campaign. Just click here.

This past year you may have joined us in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles for A Jordan Downs Illumination, or in Phoenix, Arizona, for Native Nation, and experienced our impact in communities first-hand. Or, if you couldn’t make it to the shows, maybe you read about the amazing individuals we met, and the magic we made with them, online or on social media.

Whether we were exploring economic and demographic change alongside the residents of the Jordan Downs Housing Project, or learning about the lives and experiences of Arizona’s Indigenous communities, or conducting a Two-Day Intensive with participants from all around the country, we were given the opportunity to bring people together across difference to make friends, create connections, explore story and open hearts.

Anthony Byrnes, in his KCRW review of A Jordan Downs Illumination, wrote, “It’s a remarkable experience. Whatever you know of public housing and Jordan Downs, specifically, this play will change how you feel about it. Don’t miss this production – don’t miss this chance to experience community.”

The momentum we have been building will carry us into next year with The Lakota Project in South Dakota, a new project in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Highland Park that we are making in partnership with Occidental College, a collaboration with Stut Theater from the Netherlands and much, much more.

We are grateful that we are privileged to make art that changes lives and strengthens communities, that we have the opportunity to make a difference, that we can make the world just a little bit better in some small way. And we can’t do it without you. It is your continued support and generosity that allows us to continue doing this important work, that has kept us going for more than 30 years.

As we look back at 2019 and we look ahead to 2020, we hope you’ll consider donating to Cornerstone’s End of Year campaign to strengthen communities through storytelling. Click here to give today.

From all of us here at Cornerstone, thank you!
