This summer we travel to the other side of the country to make a new play with and about the people of Queens New York, the most ethnically diverse urban area in the world. Guest playwright (and New Yorker) Cusi Cram adapts The Odyssey to reflect to reflect the stories and histories of what it means to call Queens home.  We are focusing on the community of Flushing, an incredibly vital neighborhood in Queens, where we’re inspired by Queens College, their neighbors at Pomonok Houses, the Freedom Mile, and the 7 Train. This production is part of Cornerstone’s Institute Summer Residency, which includes participants from across the United States and Canada.
