Cornerstone Theater Company

Learn

If you are an artist, activist, scholar, administrators, or just inspired and curious, Cornerstone’s Institute programs offer a variety of opportunities for learning about our unique process for creating community-engaged theater. Spend time in conversation and creative practice with Cornerstone company members and others who, like you, are interested in the intersection of community and art. Bring new tools and ideas, questions, strategies and energy into your own projects.

My goal in coming to the Institute was to learn about the possibilities of community-based theatre for promoting social change and social welfare. I hoped to leave feeling empowered to initiate and contribute to community-based projects. The Institute served that goal. I learned a lot about what community-based theatre looks like and what its impact can be. I left with a better understanding of how I might contribute to the creation of community-based projects.student participant, 2016
